Partnering with world class investors in climate change offset projects.

NutriMix Feeds Ltd. is a limited liability company that was registered with the Ugandan Registrar of Companies on August 17th 2003. NutriMix Feeds Ltd. began commercial operation in January 2004. The primary product of the company is a specialized livestock feed supplement that decreases ruminant methane while increasing producer’s milk and meat production. NutriMix is located on Plot 488 Block 246 in Bukasa, Makindye Division, in Uganda’s capital city, Kampala. The mill is situated on a 2-acre prime piece of property overlooking Murchison Bay on Lake Victoria. The sales office and depot is on Plot 3338 Kisugu, Lakeside Zone.

Until July 2005 the company manufactured and sold a range of livestock feeds for cattle, goats, sheep, swine and poultry, including 13 product lines under the brand name “NutriMix”. In July 2005, Richard Bowman of RuMeth International conducted an assessment of the business and technical feasibility of focusing the company’s manufacturing operations exclusively on methane reducing feed supplements. As a result of this assessment, and with the technical assistance of RuMeth International, the company made a policy decision to shift its manufacturing and marketing operations exclusively to cattle feed supplements. It is the only company manufacturing and promoting these types of feed supplements in Uganda.

NutriMix seeks to create a vibrant and profitable enterprise that produces and successfully markets a highly effective and low-cost feed supplement that increases dairy and beef productivity and profits to livestock producers. In this way, NutriMix Feeds intends to fundamentally transform the dairy and beef sectors in Uganda into economically powerful vehicles for sustained growth and economic development, while simultaneously improving the quality of the earth’s environment by mitigating a substantive quantity of ruminant methane emissions.
